Title: Translucent Medium - Translucency Slider
Post by: Jikkk on July 05, 2021, 08:21:07 AM
Hey;
In a 6cm x 8cm x 6cm liquid volume, I am wondering why more than a 100 cm-distance is needed for light to penetrate so the straw starts to be slightly visible. Does it make sense to you?
Thanks!

off topic:
I think, this is a very good result !!

on topic:
Did you check, how big your model is in Keyshot, or are these measurements form your CAD program?
It might be the model was somehow converted when importing, which could cause the discrepancy:
In the scene window, if you click on a model you can see the actual size under the preferences tab!
Not sure if that helps, but worth a try ...
cheers

Thanks,
No, those measurements are taken from keyShot.

For slightly translucent materials I tend to go for cloudy plastic, not sure if that's still the thing to do or if we have (faster) alternatives?
