Hello there
I'm trying to apply a Cloth weave on a cable with a layer of gold underneath.
The cloth weave does not follow the cable shape at all. How do I get it to follow the shape of the cable so it looks natural?
I tried both the 'units' and 'UV' settings in the material but they look as bad as each other.

You need to UV unwrap the cable that you are applying the cloth.
You may need to re-tesselate it before you do that so, be sure to import the model with NURBS info intact.
