Title: Tips On Creating Clear Alabaster Glass Texture
Post by: Lan on February 23, 2022, 04:53:42 PM
Hello Keyshot Community,

I'm working on creating a glass material for glass shades on a lighting fixture. The glass material have some sort of swirl and silk-look textures. I've attached a reference image below that shows the pattern. So far I've tried to map actual material sample as texture on a dielectric material but the swirl texture turns out to look plain. My goal is to create the texture so that it works on both clear and etched (frosted) glass. Your tips and suggestion is greatly appreciated ;) Thanks

Hi!

Try a translucent material with the alabaster connected to the "texture" input.  Place a physical (Area) light at 200 lumen behind the material for the full effect.
