Title: Materials Import - Textures / Bump Dissapear *solved*
Post by: Pasu on December 20, 2011, 12:40:34 PM
Hello all.

I'm using Keyshot 2.3.2, and I just imported a set of materials into my library.  I did it via the right click and import button, and it was a keyshot .mtl file.  Several of these materials have associated textures and bumps, which I went through and loaded by right clicking the material, 'edit material', and selecting the files.  I closed keyshot, opened again, and started working with my file- but all those links had broken!  The material previewed correctly (eg: a woodgrain texture appeared on the material ball), but when applied to a model, the texture was not linked anymore (appeared grey- base color of material without the texture).

I'd appreciate any help or ideas anyone has.  Thanks!

Did you copy the textures into the texture folder.

I had them in a separate folder on the desktop.  I'll put them in the keyshot textures directory - and see if that solves it.

*edit*  Case closed.  Putting the textures into the Keyshot folder did the trick.  Thanks!

Great - KeyShot 3 is much better about this.
