Title: Setting a Default Template
Post by: m2tts on February 10, 2012, 05:34:43 AM
I have a problem importing SW2012 files. Some surfaces will not import. i know this is a known issue, and the old importers won't work on 2012 files. The Plugin for 2012 is importing these surfaces; BUT, there is no way to pick what starting template you are going to use when invoking the plugin within SW. I'm rendering a series of products that want to use the same cameras and environment. How do I set what template Keyshot will use to place the SW file?

Simply setup the bipfile, and rename it to startup.bip. Then put in in the bin folder. Done.

Yes Thanks, I figured that out. There should be a dialog within the plug-in that allows you to pick which file to push into. It would be good to be able to push your geometry into a previous bip file that already has geometry too.

Yes - this is something that we are looking at for the next version of KeyShot.
