Title: 3.0.99 Crashes when saving
Post by: matthewneil on February 16, 2012, 11:37:13 AM
Just installed 3.0.99 and if I hit 'save', KS3 crashes.  I have to use 'save as' every time to not crash. Is this happening to anyone else?

I have the same problem.

Also, if I try to save the file as a package KS crashes.

Please delete the hdrls_wrapper.dll in the Documents\KeyShot 3\Plugins\32\ folder. Once removed, you will be able to save. This was caused by a bad installer.

This is a bug in the installer that is caused by the presence of an older plugin. If you can find the plugin folder for KeyShot. You can delete the old plugins, and everything will work normally again.

I'll have to ask IT to do it for me .. cuz he installed KS such that the KS3 folder is in the "all users" folder instead of in mine, to which I have no rights :/  Found the dll, but can't remove it yet.
Will this also solve the problem that I keep getting the welcome screen (even though I have told it 35 times not to show it anymore ?)
