im trying to import a basic part animation from 3ds max as fbx. the part will import with no animation. any type of animation crashes ks. is there a process for importing basic part animations? any help would be great... thanks...
Brad - send me the file and we will take a look.
I too had similar difficulties out of maya. I found that there is a trial and error effort that you need to go through to find the best configuration to export via fbx. If the animations are simple trans, rot, scale, all should work. If you are animating using deformation, expression, dynamics, maybe not. I went thought the time to bake in the vertex animations and they still did not work. I was setting up a tire side wall flex and just can get it to be recognize in KS3.
Sure I can get the flex to look god for 1 frame, but as soon as the tire rotates the smile turns to a frown. Is there a way that KS3 will see vertex keyframes?
We will have to look into this, but I doubt it.
What about making KS work as a render engine plugin? To maya, max, .....
