Title: 14 serving 13
Post by: feher on March 25, 2012, 08:52:17 AM
I seen this model on GrabCad http://grabcad.com/library/volleyball--1 the other day and thought I would render it it. Something different for me.
Enjoy

Looks good. The ball seems a bit too sharp compared to the sand. I would recommend adding a bit of depth of field. The indirect lighting on the sand looks good although perhaps a tad too much color bleeding?

The depth of field looks a bit too strong now Perhaps, it is the blurry appearance of the sand that makes the ball stand out?

I always tend to look on google images for real photo's of subjects to check what is different or what is similar as a way to give pointers where to edit.
I wanted to see if a ball is in the sand, does the sand color so much from the object ... turns out it does ;)

The sand does indeed get a lot of color bleeding, but the ball in the photograph has quite a bit more yellow and blue facing the sand.

I think a little bit of it is the decals. They're a bit too crisp.
