Title: Solidworks Tessellation with and without plugin question.
Post by: wabbit on May 01, 2012, 09:15:33 PM
Can you confirm this for me?

If I use the plug-in I will get reduced tessellation on parts?

Is there a way to get the tessellation to go away when not using the plug-in? I have on part in my assembly that keeps crashing the plug-in but I can open it in keyshot directyl but the tessealltion is pretty bad. I turned up all the image quality settings in solidworks.

You will need to change the tessellation inside SolidWorks. When importing the part directly into KeyShot, you can change the tessellation quality upon import under the advanced section of the import dialog.

Thanks. I don't know how I missed that button.

It seems that one part of my assembly was causing the plugin to crash Solidworks. If I hid that part it was no problem.

If I open the assembly directly into keyshot it doesn't crash.
