Title: C4D UV Unwrapping to Keyshot problem
Post by: texax on July 05, 2012, 03:51:46 AM
How you doin Keyshooters! :)

OK I have to admit I haven't played with applying textures that much in Keyshot anasidede from typical flat and sphere mapping I didn't look at UV mapping at all.

So here it is: I have Pear model that is organic in it's shape, asymmetrical all the way (if I have to break it down it would be two spheres, smaller on top and bigger at the bottom). I UV Unwrapped it inside Cinema 4D, applied my custom brushed texture from PS and saved it. When I import it to KS and apply saved texture via UV Coordinates I get a complete mess, I can't even access the Position tool is grayed out for some reason. This leads me to believe that I missed some steps.

Is there anyone with similar workflow that can help me out with this?

OK i found out that if I custom Relax UV I get perfect results, looks exactly the same as in C4D. Position tool is still greyed out.

I tried with different models and default unwrapping worked as expected in Keyshot, it's only that freakin pear that was giving me problems :)

Anyway all good now!
