Title: 2 Stroke Engine Final
Post by: feher on July 06, 2012, 07:33:36 PM
Figured we needed a dirty engine  ;)
Here is an image I created from a model made by Tom Kirkup on the Grab CAD site.
The model was a pleasure to work with. Very detailed. http://grabcad.com/library/two-stroke-engine-complete-with-internals-100-solidworks
The folks over at Grab CAD do some really nice modeling !
Software used are as followed:
Right Hemisphere
Keyshot
HDRI Light Studio
Photoshop
Enjoy

Stunning, Tim!  What's the trick to that amazing material on the machined front part, that sort of looks like a case hardened steel?  I've been trying to create color case for a year now without success.

Thanks guys !
To show what keyshot can do. The close up image I posted has no post done to it. It's a straight render.
I love this software.

Nicely done. It would be interesting to find out how you created the weathered metal materials.
