Great texturing! The specularity adds a lot of realism!

This looks a lot better !

The "foot" of the snail looks much more real with that wider "skirt".
Suggestion from what I see comparing to real photos: tilt the house a bit forward .. the edge of the house can "bite" a bit into it's back.  This should "connect" them more together.
The glossy-slimy-wet look does seem real, but comparing to real photo's, it's mostly the underneath that has the slime .. no ?

Hello Philippe and thank you for you nice reply :)
about the house and the back i see photos sometimes like what you say and in other photos no connection between them
and the wet i think it is real in rainy day but i will try to reduce glossiness

hmmz .. it probably depends on how the picture is taken, no ?  Use of flash and/or angle etc.
Either way, though I don't like the beast, the render is great already :)

I also like seeing the process shots in addition to the final renders; definitely helps visualize your process.

Thanks Imz :) , you mean  with process shots , creating of model than rendering or just rendering and choice of light and camera view ?
here some images i try them but i don't like result
i posted some shots how i create shell with rhino , blender for the body of snail than 3dsmax and mudbox
after that i use 3d coat for retopology and to create right uv

I like "coque.748.jpg"
It sure adds cuteness to the snail if it is "looking up" or "holding his head up high" or ... you know what I mean ;p
Do a render with its head up high and its head tilted like a puppy and you'll get most of us going "aahhhh... so cute" ;p
