I am still using KeyShot 2 (couldn't get 3 running without trouble) and want to import new materials. I found out that material files for KS3 are different than KS2, they are not compatible. In KS3 every material has it's own mtl file, in KS2 the mtl file relates to a color group. My question is; is there any way that I can import KS3 material files into KS2?

I doubt it ... KS3 materials have quite a bit more variables and options that must be in the data file ... (like opacity maps etc etc.)

This will not work. Why don't you update to 3? What trouble are you having?
