Hi, I am not sure if some one posted this request on the wish list. But, is it possible to add this function? Add video or a sequence to be used as a decal on a surface inside KeyShot.
Thanks!
Hi Abed,
It is a bit tricky as there are various timing issues involved. How would you think this feature should work? Would you want to specify an fps for the texture/video that is separated for the fps for the final video? Would it be useful if one had to specify a sequence of images indexed by a frame number? - this would have to match the final animation one to one.

Hi Henrik,
A sequence of frames based on a frame number would work fine, i.e. image.1.tif, image.2.tif, image.3.tif, etc.
I just thought about it, because, I am right now working on a 3 minute animation in KeyShot, and unfortunately I wanted to add a video playing on the screen of an iphone while the phone and the camera are moving. Since KeyShot doesn't support the video or sequence import as a decal, I have to render the scene without it and motion track it in another application, also with adding all the animated high-lights of the glass on the iPhone screen. It is an extra work and it won't be 100 % perfect.

We will look into implementing this.
