Title: support for multiple uv tiles
Post by: evilmaul on January 03, 2013, 08:51:07 AM
Hi there,

I know this is probably not relevant to most of KS users (or maybe I am wrong) but I was wondering if in the future there is a plan to support uvs on multiple tiles?
When it comes to vfx, all assets benefit hugely by multi tiled uvs and pretty much all the companies pipelines , across all of the departments, work that way. I just cannot imagine for instance to have one of my digital doubles or a creature to have a single tile (even if I could paint  32K maps for the single tile obj).

cheers,
Marco

and maybe in addition (or I should say as a totally different option) any word about ptex support?

By totally different do you mean Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene?  ;)

"That other P-tex" (than the one you're obviously hinting at) is the kind of black plastic you'll find on the base of skis and snowboards.  ;)
