Title: First KeyShot2 images- race car
Post by: Speedster on July 04, 2010, 05:47:22 PM
Hi all;

So what else do you do on the 4th of July but play with KeyShot2?  Here's a few shots of my new 1915 Model T Dirt Track racer, complete with a really spiffy "streamlined and aerodynamic radiator grill sure to add speed and power to your Model T", to quote an ad for Livingston Radiator Company in 1915.

The first image is as I found it in the desert.  The next two are after a five-year way too expensive restoration!

All in all, I'm quite impressed with KS2.  I have a few issues, mostly about SolidWorks importing, all of which I have shared with Thomas.  No need to beat it up here, as the KS team is really cranking it on!

Oh yes- this is also the first time that I have used an OBJ as the model.  I created it from my SolidWorks model into an OBJ using the really cool "SimLab Composer".  www.simlab-soft.com (http://www.simlab-soft.com)  It will convert every conceivable file format that's imported into almost any export format.  They are working on SimLab Composer 2.1, which will have some really amazing new features!
