Title: obj artifacts
Post by: mireazma on March 19, 2013, 06:09:36 AM
Hello there.
I've been trying KeyShot for 2 days and on importing an obj some artifacts show up which don't in the initial 3d modelling soft. I don't know how to get rid of them. The objects are supposed to be plain extruded 2d shapes (one is the mirror of the other).
The edges are all hard (creased).
EDIT:
and in the manual there is the "edit" button for environments which I can't see in the actual soft.

You will need to adjust the obj output in your modeling software.

Thank you very much. It needed to have triangles instead of n-gons for what I can say. Then I guess there's a problem with n-gons that aren't convex.
And please tell me how I can edit the environment.
