Title: Weird scale issue when importing an existing BIP to a current scene...
Post by: cash68 on March 20, 2013, 02:04:12 PM
So I have two models I want to render.

I'm using Keyshot 2, and SW2012 with plugin.

I open the model in SW, hit render on the plugin, and it opens Keyshot.  I save the file as BIP A.

I open the other model in SW, hit render on the plugin, and it opens Keyshot.  I save the file as BIP B.

Now I open either A or B, it doesn't matter, hit "Import", select the other file, so I have both models in the same scene...  yet one model is gigantic, the other is about 1/3 the size.

Why does it do this?  Is there a work around?

All objects are scaled upon import. That's why they may have different sizes when combined in one scene. KeyShot 4 does much better job of handling this.
