Title: Changing Depth of Field
Post by: pfava1 on March 28, 2013, 10:20:29 AM
Hi,
New to KeyShot. I was curious if it is possible to change the depth of field during a single animation.
Example, at frame 1 the DoF is 2.2, and at frame 200 the DoF is 6.
or
Changing the Focal point mid way through a scene.
Example, Shooting a car head on, Focus on the Car headlights at frame 1 @ F/2.0 and Changing the focal point to the windshield at frame 200 @ F/2.0.
This seems to be a pretty simple task, but I can not figure out how to do it.

Looking forward to the responses!

You would need to render this out in 2 separate animations.

Oh, and merge them together in a post processing software?

Good Idea, thanks!

You can now animate DOF in keyshot 4 -- just use the "depth pass" option and gotta do a bit of post-process work in After Effects or what have you. It took me a couple days but I got some good results.
