Title: Creating decals that are the correct size
Post by: bendruce on April 08, 2013, 10:21:09 PM
Hi All

I've been applying a few decals lately and have noticed they tend to come in much larger than intended.

When I load the solidworks model into keyshot I 'Keep original' size. The decals are created in Illustrator at 1:1 scale and saved off as .png's at 300dpi. When I import the decal into keyshot it tends to be massive.

Is there anything I can do to keep the decal at 1:1 scale with the keyshot model?

Regards
Ben

Use the 'scale' slider to reduce the size of the label until it fits.

Also, try saving the file as 72 DPI, that might help also
