Title: Bead blasted Stainless Steel
Post by: Michael1974 on April 15, 2013, 03:33:36 AM
Does anyone have this material as a file that they would be willing to post here for use?

I can't believe that Keyshot doesn't have this as standard - or have I missed it? (Only recently started using)

It's very easy to do after looking at reference images.

Use the 'Steel' or 'Stainless Steel' preset and change the diffuse colour chip to suit, then apply a bump map that will give you the desired look.

I will post an image soon, although unfortunately I cannot share the bump map as it is not mine to pass on - if I get time I will create one from scratch

Matte and Gloss versions...

Also as I understand it there are many different types of blast patterns and finishes

Many thanks

We use a fine bead blast on stainless steel to prouduce a smooth satin finish

Well, not sure if that's anywhere near...  :-\

Perhaps if you post an image of what you require, give me some visual reference
