Title: Moving lights
Post by: Sci456 on May 02, 2013, 03:27:50 PM
Hi chaps,

I have a few assembly models to render and all of the models are very similar. I've currently placed one of the models in a basic studio environment but I'd like to have light shining down on the model from a particular angle/area. I only have a keyshot 3 standard license so can not edit the environment (as far as I'm aware)

What I want to do is add this one light and then save the settings and use it for the other models, as they should import in exactly the same place.

How can I go about this? Is there anyway to do it? Failing that if I were to send the keyshot file to someone with HDR light studio (or similar) is it possible for them to add the light, save the environment and then send it to me to import?

I've just come across this previous post from someone.

Am I right in thinking I can model a sphere or something, set the material to emissive and have a similar effect?

In KeyShot 4 you can turn any piece of geometry into a light source: point light, ies light, or area light.
