Title: Carroll Shelby's Legacy
Post by: John B on May 05, 2013, 08:40:04 PM
To be honest I think I like the black and white version more
Anyway, the model is a combination of parts modeled by me and from GrabCAD.

some shots in "clay"
not sure why I didn't render them a bit smaller to be honest  :P

Nice work John !
The models look great too.
The black and white images are stronger for sure.
In the color version I think the green is competting with the blue car. Maybe desaturate the green bushes some.
Black and whites are keepers in my book.

Thanks Tim, I don't know how many times I rendered this before I got something I was happy with haha.
Yeah, there was something about the colour image that just didn't seem as striking as the black and white ones

This is my all time favorite car! Great renders.

Just a couple of comments (hopefully helpful!). For me the car maybe seems a little small and its shadows are different to the rest of the scene. Everything else has a much more defined shadow.

Otherwise lovely.

Thanks for the thoughts Stuart, I can see the shadow thing now that you pointed it out... (lol now I won't be able to unsee it XD) but as for the car being a bit small, you may be right but I'd say if it is its awful darn close hahaha so I'm not sure I would go back and scale it up :p
