Title: got clouds and sunlight?
Post by: jbeau on June 30, 2013, 12:28:14 PM
I would love to see something like this inside of Keyshot. Could really use this right now.

Or at least sun simulation.

I remember seeing something that Henrik was working on that did this in realtime awhile ago. I believe he even made a standalone sun simulation app but I can't find it anywhere.

It is the Velux daytime visualizer: http://viz.velux.com/

We will look into it, maybe even for v5.

Yes sir, thats the one:D Hendrik's star simulation is fascinating as well! I can't wait to see how your procedural solution turns out!

What might be a quick solution is to add the ability to accept a sequence of HDR's. Today I used Ozone from EON and rendered a lat/long EXR animated sunset sequence from 3dsmax/VRAY. Now I just need to setup a macro that incrementallyloads. Too much work, but curiousity has the best of me. I can send over a set if you guys are interested.

Thanks for considering this Thomas and crew!
