Title: My ZBrush stuff...
Post by: Despot on July 21, 2013, 10:20:42 AM
This post doesn't directly involve KeyShot because the work is borne of ZBrush - but I am testing out the new KS ZBrush plug-in so in a way it is pertinent...

Do not be too harsh, I'm not brilliant at using ZBrush, but it allows me to create things that would be extremely difficult, if not impossible in other modelling packages

They're great! Nice work Metal-bio-mech-master-man.

How's the plugIn working? I'm thinking of getting zbrush - had the trial a while ago but I really really didn't like the interface. But zbrush can do so much, very versatile for the price. I'm totally amazed at the complex shape you can get out of a shadow box!!

Thanks Martin and Edwardo...

Yeah ZBrush has a bit of a non-standard interface, but you get used to it - I bought it it 2009, but I had initially used it the V1.55 about 10 years ago, it was amazing even then, but now it is just mind-blowing. And the new ZRemesher is truly astonishing.

And yes ShadowBox can produce extremely complex geometry and it's quite simple to use really - not much effort required...
