Title: Bloom Issues
Post by: red_orca on July 23, 2013, 12:49:17 AM
I'm currently on Keyshot 3.3 so I only have the emissive material (no lights).

I've set up my scene that has an emissive material in it, and have a nice bloom effect happening in realtime.

I somehow can't seem to get the bloom to happen in my render though.
I've tried experimenting with a number of different values, setups, tried using max sample and max time renders instead of advanced....

anyone have some suggestions for me to try?

Well It does apply the bloom after the render finishes in all 3 render modes, but only if you keep the within the maximum bloom parameter boundaries (Bloom Intensity 1 / Bloom Radius 20)

If I exceed these, on my installation anyway, the render finishes, the bloom is applied, but then the render window vanishes instantly and no image is saved.

I've tried this on some of my 'Sun/Moon' .BIPS that are basically emitter spheres with excessive bloom (no other lights or HDR) and I get the above result everytime. The only way to make it behave is to drop the bloom parameters to below their limits again

If Thomas reads this, could I send you a file to test at your end please ?
