Title: Possible Bug?
Post by: Gerard_Mike on August 29, 2013, 05:37:37 AM
When I render in quality -> ''maximum time'' mode in queue, keyshot just renders the first job in this mode, the next job it renders with ''advanced control'' mode, when the desired method would be ''maximum time'' for all jobs. It's really clear, the first one is refinement mode, the next ones are the ''blocky mode''. Any clues?

I'll check it out. What version are you using exactly, so I'm on the same page? You can find this under Help>About.

Hi Chad,

We are using 4.1.35.

I just would like to mention that although the next renders seems to be processed by ''advanced control'' method, In fact it's using the time I set for ''maximum time'' mode. So I'm confused.

Hi Mike,

Is your computer doing some other "heavy" task while rendering the queue? Since you're using max time, it's possible you can end up with inconsistent results if your computer is being used for other tasks.

I'm not using for other intensive tasks, because keyshot takes almost all the power frome the machine :)

Indeed inconsistency is the word. My question is, why did it swapped from ''maximum time'' mode to ''advanced control'' during the queue rendering?
Actually near the end it is taking almost 5 hours per frame, I initially put 3 hours per frame.

So far I haven't been able to reproduce. Did you happen to accidently use advanced control when saving certain jobs to the queue? Which ever mode you have selected when adding a job is the one it uses.
