Title: Texture Maps from Creo 2.0 to Keyshot 4
Post by: cmindler on September 11, 2013, 06:05:38 AM
Is it possible to have textures (ie. labels) applied to model surfaces render into Keyshot 4 via the plugin.  A lot of the textures we use are applied via planer maps on the surfaces as creo doesn't use traditional uv's.  If possible what setting/ mapping method works as we currently have to spend time re-texturing models in Keyshot.

I'll look into it. Seems like the plugin was able to do this at one time.

Found out some things after working with our plugin guru on this - it is possible but there are a few things that you need to be aware of:

- Apply the texture on the part level
- Use textures in your Creo installion directory (you can add your own custom ones in here, of course)
- Don't use textures in the TX3 format (there's a few that Creo has mixed in there)

Hope this helps.
