Title: Really Deleteing Geometry
Post by: m2tts on July 28, 2010, 01:19:20 PM
Just wondering what the status is on fixing the delete geometry bug. Saying "Delete Part" should mean what it says. When ever I open a part with geometry that I've deleted, it ends up showing up again.

The same thing happens with hidden geometry; when you open a file, all parts are shown. The hidden state is not saved with the file.

We found that if you hide the part first and then delete it, it doesn't delete. If you delete without hiding it first, it works.

We are looking into saving the "hidden state".

I'm not hiding the parts first (then I wouldn't be able to see what I'm deleting). So it seems that delete is some form of special "hide" where those parts don't show up when you RMB to "show all hidden". But they always show up again when you open the scene the next day.

Thomas,

What is the status of the "part not really deleting" issue? I am using the Mac version 2.0.46 and still have the problem. I'm having to do some real time consuming workarounds to get productive. I never hide a part first then delete, so this isn't a fix for me.

Thanks,

Greg Morgan

We are still looking into it.
