Title: In a big ocean
Post by: Noozbe on October 25, 2013, 06:45:07 AM
Hi all !

First please excuse my english, i'm french.
I have a boat project and i try to integrate it in his environment : the ocean.
I have try lot of things but it's not very convaincant.
Do you know how can i make realistic ocean ?

I have make one with Solidworks (A volume with waves in his surface) and apply translucid material and bump texture but it's not realistic.

Someone to help me ?

Bye !

Thomas.

Use a ground plane from the EDIT menu and edit the material. Change to liquid or glass, change the color, and apply a wave texture as a bump map. That should get you started.

Hello,
Thank you for your answer.
It's a basic solution but i need to make realistic water, with splash.
Do you know if it's possible to use a frame of RealFlow for export it to Keyshot after and make the render ?
Regards.
Thomas.

As long as you export as OBJ from RealFlow you can import your RF geometry into KeyShot.
