Nice - make sure you select "snap to ground" - your ring is intersecting the ground plane.

Ahh - sweet. Now do the same as I suggested in the other post. A little bit of roughness on the material to make it look more real.

just a tad bit of roughness - done.

I got a strange problem:
couldn't open the bip file in KeyShot 2, opened it in KeyShot 1.9
and there is no (check "sharp glossy reflections" in the environment tab).

After all: learning by doing changed to learning by Thomas. Thanks for your support.

Hmm - strange why it wouldn't open in KeyShot 2. Correct  -1 . 9 doesn't have this.

But make sure you double click on the material and increase roughness to 0.05 or less. Then you will see the effect.
