Title: How can I tile an U-repeat texture or V-repeat texture only on a surface?
Post by: geshuhe on December 17, 2013, 05:46:29 PM
Hi, Keyshot is great. But when I need tile a texture on a surface only one direction,I can't find this option anywhere, Can anyone tell me how to do? Thanks!

You can change the mapping type for your textures by selecting "Type" from the drop down menu, I've highlighted it in the attached screenshot.

Is this what you're referring to?

You need to map each surface in a different color in your native CAD.  This allows KeyShot to recognize each discrete surface.  You will have to apply your texture individually to each surface (don't link or copy/paste!) and adjust the angle and/or scale to line everything up.

Thanks a lot! :D
I mean that I want to tile a texture along x-axis or y-axis only, not full of a surface, like some other software, for example,Maxwell Studio,"Tile X" "Tile Y". In keyshot,I can only turn on the option "repeat" in the Texture panel.
I think it's a popular function. ;)
