Title: Polarized Lens
Post by: mink144 on February 04, 2014, 10:35:04 AM
Hi there, I'm looking to achieve this kind of polarized lens. You should be able to see through at about 35 percent too when there is nothing behind the lenses (no faces). Any ideas ? Thank you.

This is a quick attempt to recreate this material using the advanced material type, you can see the material settings below.
The "see through" effect is created using a mid blue/grey specular transmission value. I unchecked Fresnel, tweaked the refraction index (to better match chrome), and changed the specular color to give the blue tinted reflections.

Hope this helps!
