Title: Can I get some help Tweaking this Material?
Post by: Robb63 on March 14, 2014, 09:44:16 AM
I'm having some trouble getting the lenses on these sunglasses to look right. I'm close, I just can't control the two different colors the way I would like to be able to.

The attached image (Polarized Sample.jpg) is the look I am trying to get, with the larger pink/red image in the bottom of the jpg being the look my client really wants.
I've also attached a ksp file of part of the scene, in case someone would like to take a shot at working with that.

Thanks!!

What about using a color gradient to get the color shift? I used the Advanced material instead of translucent, getting the transparency from the specular transmission.
You can replace the gradient with exactly the colors you want, I just quickly made this one in Photoshop.

Lemme know if this helps!

Hi Richard, Is there supposed to be a gradient file that goes with that bip, as the file looks very different to your png image when I opened it here.

Would I apply a custom color gradient as a "color, specular, or opacity texture".

thanks
