Title: Retaining Labels & Textures When Swapping Materials
Post by: 78finn on June 02, 2014, 03:57:34 PM
I have been viewing / demoing a version of KeyShot 5 & had heard about its ability to retain textures and labels when swapping materials...

So far I cannot get this to work at all.

I drag a standard 'plastic / rough' material to a part. Add a custom bump map and label. When I drag a different material (plastic / shiny) both the bump map & the label are removed.

Very frustrating....

Is anyone else find this?

Also is there a way to apply a label to the part instead of having to apply it using a material?

This would seem like the obvious work around and very time saving.

I think you hold down "CTRL" on a PC when you drag the material to get this to work.

Yes - CTRL to keep labels, ALT to keep textures, both to keep both. Says it at the top, too. Are you not getting that prompt?
