Title: Where's My Pattern Tool?!
Post by: Will Gibbons on June 15, 2014, 07:24:42 AM
First off, I apologize in advance because I'll bet this is just user error on my end, but I've got KeyShot 5.0.8 and would like to make an instance of an object.

On the KS5 overview video, it looks like with a left-click on the part within the Scene dialogue box, reveals a 'pattern' option, right above 'duplicate'. When I right-click, there's no pattern option. I have KeyShot Pro + Animation... is it only a VR feature or something I'm not paying for?

Is there any way to search for that command within the program. I'm super confused about this and bummed because I'd really like to use the feature.

thanks for any help!

If it's a sub part then all you will see is the duplicate option, if it's the root/parent object then you will see Pattern option.

You hit the nail on the head! I've got my models all organized in folders to keep track of colors and views. No wonder. Thanks for putting me at ease!

Cheers.
