Title: Glass Filled Polypropylene (10%-40%)
Post by: MBecker32 on August 27, 2014, 10:53:59 AM
Any help with this material creation? Having a hard time creating the milky white look to it. If you can supply material creation steps that would help too. Thanks!

Do not know if this is really good enough, gave it a try though.

I think the glass reflects, no? I feel that calls for a specular map, you can get great results quickly that way.

@MBecker32 - Can you send the part model to me so i can have a go at it ?

If you can please send it to TpwUK at hotmail dot co dot uk

I have gotten close to it with the KS material ball but would like to try it on the actual part.

Here's the file.

It could use a photoreal image map.  This one was done in photoshop.
You need to play with image size, brightness & contrast, specular and roughness.

Thanks Philip. Version 1 looks very good. Just had to play around with the settings like you said.
