Title: White on White
Post by: joseph.m on September 01, 2014, 11:15:48 PM
I'm a designer and I'm currently using Keyshot 5 and I would say that I am a novice.

I struggle generally to get my renders to the quality I have seen on here. I think its probably due to lighting and material choices but I don't know..

Basically what I'm really struggling with is how to get an effective image of a white product on a white background.. products vary from render to render. but as an example lets say its a white wardrobe...

White is the common background in the catalogue for the company I work for and that's why I ask.

Thanks in anticipation.

No quick answer to this I'm afraid. It is a combo of materials, lighting and settings. For a first step I would advise playing about with the "brightness" and "gamma" sliders in the settings tab. I think there might be an older webinar on this very topic - worth digging about the keyshot website for it.

hope this helps
