Title: Lighting Question
Post by: MartyMart on October 05, 2010, 02:48:05 PM
Hi

Is it possible to light a scene only by emissive materials,
in other words no lighting by environment or other means just emissive materials.

Cheers

of course that is possible, you only need to disable the environment, or use a (any?) black picture as environment (Black, with no light intensity. Use photoshop)

It is but not quite there yet. Dion't hide the environment, but set the brightness of the environment to 0.

Hope this helps.

Hi

Setting the environment to 0 helps, but the emissive materials have to be cranked up to above 50% to even start to light the scene and then the render becomes terrible with lots of noise.

Any suggestions ???

Cheers

You can type in an even higher number to make it even brighter. Try and use the new realtime render mode. It will take a while to res up, though.
