Title: Texturing a wheel.. - immpossible. How to use UV?
Post by: Tempe on January 26, 2015, 12:23:55 AM
Okay, now I'm getting really angry trying to work it out.. what I want to do is a proper bumpmap placement on a tire.. I've been trying to scale the texture up and down, roll all the sliders over and over from side to side but NOTHING gives me a good result, it dosen't matter if its planar, Y, Z or whatever.. Probably I should use UV corrdinates but I have no idea how it works.. I'm using 3ds Max.. guys, please, help me to figure it out.. for some reason it wont work like on this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5gUP0sA6FY

Okay, seems like my tire model was a rubish.. Nils Piirma helped me to figure it out and allowed me to use his model.  :)
