Hi All!

I need to create a concrete tank full of mud. Chocolate milkshake style

Been using keyshot for a while, I tried all the dirt / dust tutorial but I can't find anything that is the liquid / glossy type with proper bump map that is even close to something realistic ... any ideas ?

you will probably need to look to poliigon or something for a photoreal texture to apply.

I would use an advanced material type with roughness in transmission channel.

Here is what I have tested so far :

Cloudy Plastic with Bump map, this one outputs the right bumps feeling, but 0 opacity.

Cloudy Liquid with Bump map, this one output the right opacity, but not the right bumpy waves

Try this: https://polyhaven.com/a/brown_mud_03
That is a cool texture set!

I used a simple plastic for the mud combined with the textures from poly heaven.
The attached KSP doesn't contain the texture files from poly heaven. But you can replace (and keep size) them with the Poly Heaven's textures. The node name is the corresponding texture name.

You clearly need more displacement in the mud.

The material contains a displacement node. You can tweak the material to your liking. I used a small value so the mud material stays inside the glass.
