KeyShot now offers a benchmark mode within the free, stand-alone application KeyShot Viewer! We love to see the activity in this forum and we want to keep it going, so please use the KeyShot Benchmark tool and follow the steps below or watch this video:

Running the Benchmark

  • Head over to our website to download and install KeyShot Viewer: https://www.keyshot.com/viewer/
  • Open KeyShot Viewer and choose to run the benchmark. The sample scene will download upon the first time launching the tool.
  • Close all other running applications.
  • Choose to run the test for CPU, GPU, or Both.
  • Once finished, your results will be shown next to the chosen test.
Comparing Results

The results are multiples based on render time. The reference system is an Intel Core i7-6900K CPU @3.20GHz, 2601 Mhz, 8 Core(s). A score of 1.0 matches the speed of the reference system. A score of 2.0 would be double the speed of the reference system. Higher scores are better and scores higher than 1.0 are better than the reference system.

The GPU benchmark follows the same CPU baseline, based on that same machine. Typically, you'll get much higher numbers with a GPU test. For reference, you can check out this document from NVIDIA: https://media.keyshot.com/event/keyshot-world-2020/NVIDIA_Quadro_RTX_KeyShot.pdf

Posting Scores

When posting your KeyShot Benchmark scores, please make sure you put the machine and processor type in the subject line. This will make it easy for people to browse the posts.
