Network rendering: what's your hardware?

Hi there,

planning to buy the 32core network rendering for better performance.
I'm running one HP Z400 (Xeon W3520 , 4 cores, 8 threads, 2,67GHz) at the moment
and think about "investing" in three additional (used) Z400 with the same specs to
reach the 32 cores. That makes me having 32 cores for a very good price...

What do you think about that?
What are your personal experiences with network rendering (software and hardware related)?

Hi Felix,

Now that KeyShot 5 has been updated to handle many, many more processors than before, would you still need to get rendering software if personal workstations (BOXX's Apexx 5) are now available with 36 cores and 72 threads?
