Materials and the white halo rage

Hi guys.

I have a problem that has me at the point of throwing my machine through the window. First, let me say that im new to Keyshot, and have done some awesome tests over the last 48 hours, but now,all of a sudden, i have this white edge ghost effect around my materials icon window (specifically metal) and when viewing in the view-port,it has this almost intruding edge discoloration. As if the material refuses to be a nice sold color like it used to be 24 hours ago...
