Hello ! Found another model online (really can't remember where) and started with my typical front shot. I'll try practicing a little bit with back plates later. Hope you like it !

I think it would be better if (in case of the 3rd one) you modeled the studio and did the rendering there... the lighting would match flawlessly and could have a different contrast.. also you'd have full control on the lighting and camera setting

Yes,  going full 3D is often the best, i agree, but with these experiments i was trying to create the environments myself to see if i could make them match. Long way to go :P.

I had to do this. Modeling the complete scene gives you much more control over the lighting, you were right, although using area lights generates those hot pixels that i hate so much, had to remove them in post :P.

Did you try increasing material samples on the material you were seeing the pixels as well as on the light sources?

Hello Will. I do not increase the samples on each material. I render on max samples mode with about 1000 samples. "complete simulation" preset seems to help with this issue, decreasing significantly the numer of strange spots showing up. Anyway, it is nothing that post work can't solve :D .

Did you try with emmisive + interior mode? It worked for me a couple of times and no white pixels

I've always used area lights for illumination purposes and emissive for details, like buttons or glowing pieces of geometry. I'll try it for a scene and see how it goes !
