Freezing Computer

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this issue. Randomly when using Keyshot it will freeze up my entire computer and requires a hard reset. I am continuing to work with support but figured I would post on here as well to see if anyone and other options. My last (2) options I can think of is a clean install Keyshot, and or new install on Windows 10. I would like to avoid a clean install of my machine as it will take some time to get all my other programs on it.

Has anyone else had/Have this problem?

Platform / OS: Windows 10
KeyShot version: 6.2.105
Components: Intel i7 6700K, nVidia Quaddro K2200

I have verified all my drivers are up-to date, all required software is up-to date (C++, Framework.NET, ect.),  Turned off Graphic info in Keyshot.

I see you mentioned having everything up-to-date but have you checked the BIOS? I had trouble with a new computer build last year and BIOS update seemed to resolve it. May be something worth looking into.

If that doesn't help, keep an eye on your system resources. Could be you're running out of RAM on certain scenes or tasks.

Computer freezes are a pain to track down .... I'd try

Memtest - Make sure you don't have a faulty DIMM
CPU Stress tester - Your choice, there are several
Thermal checks on Graphics card, my Quadro runs very hot here, CPU and if you have RAM thermal checks on the motherboard monitor those too
As mentioned by Chad BIOS updates often have better support for third party add-on cards included in ACPI fixes etc

As mentioned already Freezes are hard to track down since the cause can be a range of things.

One thing to also check for Intel i3/i5/i7 CPUs is the driver for the integrated Graphics card, it is often overlooked.
Also If you have Peripheral devices you can try to unplug those to check if one of those is causing problems.
