Can you change the default settings for a new file (Ctrl+N)?

For example the default perspective is 35 and I would like to change it to something else when opening a new document.

Hi furniture guy.

Create a start up scene as you want it and save it somewhere safe on your hard drive.

Go to preferences and in the 'general' tab, approx in the middle, point to the custom start up scene you created.

That's all.

Hope it helps,

Esben Oxholm

Be careful NOT to delete the custom start-up scene while you have KeyShot using that as the startup scene.
If you do that, KeyShot refuses to open and you have to delete (or edit) the keyshot.xml file to reset things.

Perhaps it could be made so if the custom scene can't be found, KeyShot opens with the default startup scene instead of not being able to open at all, KeyShot dev team? :)

Where's the startup.bip file located by the way?

On my Windows10 laptop it's in C:\Program Files\KeyShot7\bin

Thank you Mr. Oxholm & HaroldL

Frankly, I should have found that myself.

So what you're saying is that I better change it back in Preferences to the default file BEFORE deleting or moving my custom one...
