Thought I would try something out of my comfort zone.. Love cars but, sometimes you just need to do something different.
So lipstick it is....lol

HDRI was created from scratch in Keyshot 7 using their hdri editor.

Hi Tim, looks cool ! May i ask how did you create your background? I always have some banding issues with this kind of sets.

For the background I used a ramp instead of a ground plan. Then I used a IES light  to bounce light on it to create that gradation.
Banding is a funny thing. If you're getting banding then either your pushing the color and tones too much in photoshop or it's your monitor.
Sometime you see banding but when you print it it gone. (sometimes)
One thing you can do is add a slight blur to the background and add a touch of noise. That will lessen the banding if you see some.
Solid color backgrounds are tough due to the banding issue.

Looking good Tim! Nice composition and colors! Only thing... the core reflection/highlight down the center/top tube of lipstick seems to be out of alignment from top of case to bottom. Once you see it, it's  a bit distracting. I assume this is the result of an off-axis part in the 3D file?
