I'm trying to get a better handle of soft-body simulations in Blender, with the plan of having them interact with CAD files. Also playing around with the settings to get smooth, sub-divided simulations into Keyshot. Here is a simple soft-body interaction test, rendered in Keyshot with a couple of different materials.

I'm pretty happy with level of smoothness in this test.

Looks great! Can you provide one of these as a demo file?

mcramblet

Sure. Do you want the Keyshot file or the Alembic file, so you can do your own importing?

Rex

Would be great to have both the .abc and the .ksp. You can send to rex@luxion.com via keyshot.wetransfer.com

Thanks!

Nice! These are fun to do. Haven't done any in a while. Now, making me want to do more!

Really makes me want to study Blender! 2.8 seems like such an attractive proposition and the fact that I can install it at work for free is amazing.
