Hi! This is my first post, I don´t know why I didn´t come here sooner.
Anyways... Here are some shots of my RenderWeekly entry, an all-Metal IR thermometer I starded as a school project a couple years ago.
The product is intended for professional use, precise and steryle as a scalpel and portable as a pen.
Modeled in SolidWorks.

That's pretty slick! Nice detail with the modeled knurl as well!

I'm assuming this is meant to be used similar to a laser pointer?

I did some research and the best spot to measure is on the temple, so as the doctor faces the patient you us it like this. Its a POV shot (don´t pay atention to the awful quick editing skills haha)
